The recognised modalities for registering a Designs for Health practitioner account are detailed below. Unless otherwise indicated in these modalities, qualifications in needling, manipulation, energetic medicine, or electrophysical therapies are accepted.

Designs for Health recognises colleges offering quality training in NSW, NT, QLD, SA, WA, and VIC. These Designs for Health-approved colleges vary widely in their educational content and delivery hours.
Designs for Health does not recognise any educational qualifications substantially attained by distance-only learning, correspondence training, online learning, or external modes. To become a registered practitioner with Designs for Health, these courses have specific requirements for the duration of training and delivery modes.

Acupuncture is based on the course (program) being approved by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for general registration in the Profession of Chinese Medicine Practitioner in the Division of Acupuncture.

Pharmacy is based on the course (program) approved by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for general registration in the Profession of Pharmacy
Dentistry is based on the course (program) approved by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for general registration in the Profession of Dentistry
Physiotherapy is based on the course (program) approved by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for general registration in the Profession of Physiotherapy
A nurse practitioner is based on the course (program) approved by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) for general registration in the Profession of Nursing and the Completion of an NMBA-approved master’s course in addition to your base Nursing qualification.
