Dr Michael Jurgelewicz is a distinguished figure in the realm of functional medicine, with a keen focus on metabolic health, including insulin resistance, diabetes, and PCOS. With over 17 years of in-depth study in nutrition and wellness, he plays a key role in developing innovative health products at Designs for Health.
As an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Bridgeport’s Master of Science in Human Nutrition program, Dr. Jurgelewicz shares his knowledge with the next generation of nutrition professionals. His academic achievements include a B.S. degree in Health & Wellness, a B.S. degree in Anatomy, and a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
Dr Jurgelewicz is board-certified in Nutrition by the American Clinical Board of Nutrition, holds a Diplomate status with the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition, and is recognised as a Certified Nutrition Specialist. He actively contributes to the American Clinical Board of Nutrition’s Item Writer’s Committee and has written numerous articles for professional publications.
With a holistic approach, Dr Jurgelewicz has a special interest in managing a spectrum of chronic health conditions through functional medicine.

Lea has over 20 years of experience as a qualified naturopath, herbalist and nutritionist. In her clinical practice, she specialises in paediatric and gut health and the relationship between inflammation and neurological conditions.
